We all have morning rituals to get us going, but the truth is that the energy we feel in the morning is actually set the night before. The way you end your day flows into your next day. Use these tips to create nighttime energy that will fuel your body into the following day.
- Cleansing baths
Our bodies absorb energy throughout the day, both physical and emotional, and a hot bath can eliminate some of the residual stress. Try adding a mixture of sea salt and baking soda to detox your energetic field of lower your vibrations. To do this, just combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of natural Sea Salt and soak for 20 minutes.
- Essential Oils for relaxation
Essential oils are another great way to reduce stress. Use a topical application on the back of neck or bottoms of your feet before bed or place an essential oil diffuser in your bedroom. Its release of essential oils during the night might help to deepen your sleep.
Some of my favorites for nighttime relaxation are:

- Letting Go of Tomorrow’s To Do’s
If you feel the stress of tomorrow’s “to-dos” creeping in, write down these stressors and then let them go. You can create a list and then turn it over until tomorrow. While you are writing, imagine that each “to-do” is easily accomplished and imagine how it feels to have already accomplished. Writing down these “to-dos” frees your mind and actually establishes the energy and manifestation of achieving.
- Recovering Your Energy
At the day’s end, it helps to recover the energy you might have lost to a person or difficult situation during the day. Take a few moments, close your eyes, and let your day replay in your mind’s eye. Where did you nurture yourself? Where did you nurture your goals? What moments drained your energy? What people drained your energy? Are you worrying about a conversation or a mistake? Mentally call your energy back to you so you can recover your strength and make changes tomorrow. Forgive yourself, and forgive others for the difficult moments. Finally, ask yourself: how can I learn from this?
Breathing is one of the most powerful methods you can use to relax the mind and body and to recover from a long day. My favorite is what I call “The Seven Breath” exercise.
- Breath in through the nose for count of 7
- Hold in for a count of 7
- Breathe out for a count of 7
- and Hold out for a count of 7
- Repeat several times until you feel yourself completely relax
- Prayers of Gratitude
The most powerful way to create the energetic flow of what you want in life is to practice being in a state of gratitude. Make your nighttime prayers ones of gratitude for all that you love about your life….be grateful for little things and the big ones. And be grateful even for what seems challenging because in the challenges you are learning to grow. This is one of the most powerful ways to end the day. Gratitude creates the energy of being blessed and opens the channel for the high vibrations that create more things for which to be grateful.
- Be What You Want To Create
Finally, one of the most powerful ways to end the day is to be in the energetic state of all that you want to create in your life. Close your eyes, and think of 3 to 5 things or experiences you want to create in your life. Now, “be” as if these things have already happened. For example, if you want to have more financial resources so you can let go of the worry of money and have the financial resources to do more…then imagine that all the money you need has easily flowed to you. “BE” as if you already have all the financial support you need. Do this by FEELING it. How does it feel to have all the financial support you need? It may feel peaceful or create a feeling of care-free happiness. Whatever the feeling, allow yourself to become the feeling in these few moments. As you feel this positive energy, allow your mind’s eye to create scenes of what you want in your life. This is the perfect energy to transfer into your dream time. This energy allows your sleep dreams to create your real dreams.
